Chrysalis Update
Many of you will have visited and will remember Chrysalis in Donard, West Wicklow. When our lease expired in March 2011, the Advisory Team steering Chrysalis entered a reflective, regrouping phase to discern the most beneficial, sustainable way forward for the charity.
This stage was, rather fittingly, the dictionary definition of our name: a protected, sheltered state or stage of being or growth. This involved regular meetings, discernments, discussions, phone calls, vision-clarifying exercises, letting go processes, research recess and emails…all suffused with the vital ingredient of trust.
Our intention is to widen the influence and scope of Chrysalis from being centred on one location to becoming a community of people and events connected by a thirst for the greater good. This summer 2012 programme at the Ardenode Country House Hotel is our first step…we’ll keep you briefed about how we’re doing and what opportunities there are for you to join in.
