Date: April 23, 2017

Studies are showing more and more, that the quality of our relationships is directly related to the quality of our happiness and wellbeing. If we are not happy and satisfied in life, a good place to make a positive change is to take action to strengthen our relationships, learn who we are, what we bring to the world and create new connections.   This one day workshop will invite you into a deeper and more authentic connection with yourself and others through Circling (a mindful relating approach), meditation practices, guided relaxation techniques and the powerful energy healing of Mystic Healing. Circling teaches how to authentically connect in the present moment – beyond stories, expectations and predetermined ideas of who you are. Circling has the capacity to reveal your unique gifts, generate transformation, personal growth and mindfulness. Soul Truth Discovery & Intuitive Development WEEKEND RESIDENTIAL

Price:

EUR295.00

Date: May 19, 2017

***One Place Remaining***

Are you longing to trust yourself more fully? Do you feel disconnected from your own inner wisdom? Do you want to live your life from your absolute truth rather than old conditioned patterns? Through the tools and insights of Astrology, Tarot, Numerology, and Embodiment Practices you will be guided to discover the deeper aspects that make up who you are. You will discover your soul’s truth, to help guide you in discovering and aligning with your life’s purpose, your inner truth and innate wisdom. Each participant will have personal readings on your own birth chart, personal archetypes with Tarot and your unique numerology cycles as you learn how these esoteric aspects mirror your inner truth and are guideposts on your soul’s journey in human form on earth. You will also learn the ideas and concepts involved in reading birth charts, tarot and numerology. Through embodiment practices you learn to align yourself more fully with these aspects so that your intuition, or inner voice of wisdom may flow more freely into your conscious awareness. Intuition has been described as more powerful than intellect, as if nurtures the ability to trust yourself more deeply, clearly and naturally steer us in the direction that serves the truth of self, rather than replaying old patterns, beliefs and conditioning. You will acquire new skills at making use of this inner intuitive wisdom, giving you the key to grow and thrive in whatever you do, personally and professionally. Meditation, circle-sharing, and embodiment exercises will support this soul exploration with very grounded down-to-earth methods that allow you to apply in real, everyday life.  You will gain practical ways to stay connected with your soul truth back at home, in work, and in relationships.  You will come away from the weekend feeling more empowered and deeply connected with your own soul’s Higher Truth and Purpose.

Nature Healing Meditation WEEKEND RESIDENTIAL

Price:

EUR275.00

Date: June 16, 2017

There is a part of all of us that feels at home in nature, which allows our brain, body and soul to function differently. Science shows that being connected with nature results in changes inside our hearts that calm and soothe nerves, fight depression and reduces stress. This gentle and organic weekend residential workshop will connect you with the many beautiful nature elements that the Glenmalure Valley has to offer, in the heart of the Wicklow mountains. Through mindfulness & guided meditation practices, deep relaxation sessions, and personal process facilitation, combined with a deeper understanding of the cycles of nature: birth, growth, decay, death, and rebirth, you will be guided on a journey of self-discovery of the innate wisdom of nature both within and outside the self. When we connect with Nature’s cycles with awareness, the natural cycles within our own experience awaken and deepen, and our soul-directed impulse towards growth can be grounded and integrated into daily life. This allows for life experiences to take on new meanings with greater significance and any personal struggles can then be experienced as a reflection of the continuous movement of nature, from darkness to light, rather than a disruption or disturbance of your own personal mind, body or spirit. This will allow you tap into the strength and support of nature through difficult times, instead of feeling weak, disempowered or broken. You will learn tools and practices that can be applied to daily life, relationships and circumstances outside the workshop to allow you to awaken our soul’s innate connection with deeper joy, creativity and wellbeing. This flexible programme incorporates reflective engagement with Nature in the outdoors and indoor sessions. Through conscious resonance, we work co-creatively with Nature, and each other, toward mutual healing.

Facilitator:

Pauline Emerson has 25 years experience as a teacher and 16 years as a practicing Psychotherapist.  She draws on her 35 year relationship with the mountains, rivers, and forests of Glenmalure, which has lead her to live and work full-time in the valley.  Her workshops have emerged out of a new growth cycle in her own live, providing an opportunity for her to integrate her personal and professional experience, in a shared context to be in service to others.  http://pauline-emerson.psychotherapist.tel

Mindfulness and Loving Kindness SILENT WEEKEND RESIDENTIAL RETREAT

Price:

EUR295.00

Date: June 30, 2017

Meditation is a journey of bringing the mind into the heart. In this silent retreat we will practise mindfulness as well as loving kindness/compassion. Silence will maintained during the meals, during the informal meditation periods, after meals, and in accommodation spaces. (The first meal on Friday and the last lunch on Sunday will not be in silence).  Cultivating mindfulness has a profound effect on our day to day lives, as it helps to realise a sense of calm and stability within ourselves and in our relationships with others. The practice of loving kindness develops our capacity for kindness and non-contentiousness. The combination of mindfulness and loving kindness is a powerful way to learn to see deeply, open our hearts more fully, and act with clarity and compassion, in the quiet environment of the retreat as well as in the midst of our every-day lives. We reconnect with our inner sources of kindness and wakefulness.  The emphasis with this teaching style is that there is nothing we need to add to or take away from what is already here. With this knowledge, participants will be gently guided to a place of compassionate awareness.

There will be ample opportunity to ask or reflect in the group feedback rounds, and the facilitator will be available, upon request for individual guidance.  There will be sitting meditation (sitting on a chair is totally fine) alternated wtih slow, walking meditation. Participants are encouraged not to bring reading or writing materials, and to switch off their mobile phones, so that they can immerse themselves in the practices, and come home to their innermost being. This silent retreat will be suitable for beginners and non-beginners, for people of all religious backgrounds or none, and offers an introduction to mindfulness and compassion practices, and a deepening for those who already practise meditation, in whatever form.  Please note that silent retreats can be an intensive experience, which is not recommended for people who have strong mental and physical health issues.

Outline:

The main focus of the weekend will be on the mindfulness practice in sitting and walking meditation, as well as in the other activities we engage in on the retreat, with extensive guidance by me but also time for individual practice.
The weekend will also include compassion practices (loving kindness/metta), again in sitting and walking meditation
We will also use other forms of mindful movement (very gentle, not yoga, suitable for all degrees of flexibility).
The periods of sitting are alternated with mindful movement, in the safe and supportive environment of Glenmalure, and in the silence. Participants are encouraged not to read or write during the retreat, and switch off their mobile phones.
There will be ample opportunity to go for walks.
I’ve been practising insight or mindfulness (also called ‘vipassana’) meditation since 1981, and have found it of enormous benefit in my life: in its ups and downs, and the in-between.
The metta or loving kindness practice has impacted on my relationships in various supportive ways, in particular the relationship with myself.
The practices I’ll be guiding don’t require one to have any particular belief system; it’s all intuitive and experiential what ‘happens’, a deepening of one’s inner listening and attunement.

Find the courage to authentically be who you are. Through deep exploration of where our sound, our breath, and our passion comes from, together with the tools of Alexander Technique and Freeing the Natural Voice, you will be invited to find your voice while freeing movement and breath in the body. Discover how to use that part deep within that has been hiding as foundation for creative impulse. This leads to new discoveries in the voice, self, movements and breath, and in who we ultimately are. With child-like wonder, find your voice while dancing, moving, swaying. By learning how to “vibrate” sound, the sound begins to move through us; it begins to sing us.  Whether you are someone who secretly wishes you could sing, in chronic pain of discomfort in the body, a musician who feels there’s something holding you back, or if you feel jealous toward other creatives, the tools and techniques in this workshop will shine a light into blind spots within the body and soul to help you open up and meet yourself in a more meaningful way. You will leave this workshop with new inspiration, with tools of how to practice and play the instrument of your being.

Previous participant testimonial:

At this workshop, facilitated by Deborah Jeanne Weitzman, I had no idea what to expect. It turned out to be an invitation to come alive, a chance to discover who I am and what I can do when I get out of my own way! I sang, I danced, I cried, all in a way I had thought I could no longer do. With kindness and mischievous humor, Deborah gave us space to share as much or as little as we chose. She listened, encouraged and acknowledged us in a most remarkable way. As the day progressed, I discovered myself freer than I’d been in years. Aches and pains and fears and the accumulated stress of living melted away. Throughout it all, we were fed tiny treasures to help realize the ease of our beings. I came to the workshop feeling insignificant, needy and a wall of negativity. By the end, I felt bountiful, loving, and so powerful the whole large room wasn’t big enough to contain me

Yoga and Hillwalking WEEKEND RESIDENTIAL

Date: September 29, 2017

Join us for a weekend getaway in the beautiful Glenmalure  Valley for a weekend of Yoga and Hill Walking.  The weekend will include a gentle Ayurvedic yoga & meditation practice which is suitable for suitable for all levels and abilities.  As you relax and restore the body, you will be more open and receptive to welcoming in the peace and beauty of the natural surroundings.  The venue is situated with Wicklow Way trail access from our doorstep.  You will have the opportunity for guided and self guided hill walks throughout the weekend to explore this peaceful and beautiful valley.  While walking, you can connect with nature, views and yourself.  This weekend will be a wonderful opportunity to step away from your regular routine, to relax and connect more deeply with yourself and nature.  All vegetarian meals and lodging are included.  Holistic massage is available at an extra cost.

The yoga practice we will do over the weekend is Traditional Ayurvedic Yoga, which is a self intelligent system that balances all Ayurvedic doshas with its gentle practice.  Ayurveda, “life-knowledge”, is one of the world’s oldest holistic (“whole-body”) healing systems. It was developed more than 3,000 years ago in India.  It’s based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Its main goal is to promote good health, not fight disease.  Ayurvedic, Tri-Dosha Yoga is a wonderful way to balance your Ayurvedic doshas.  The doshas are biological energies found throughout the human body and mind. They govern all physical and mental processes and provide every living being with an individual blueprint for health and fulfillment.  This practice is a self intelligent system using a series of poses done lying down (on back and belly), focusing on the breath and relaxation to bring balance to all doshas, Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.  This Tri-Dosha series balances your internal state on all levels, mind, body and spirit.  It is a meditative practice done with eyes closed for a deeper ability to sense the flow of the poses.  The practice will finish with a short pranayama breathing practice to sharpen the mind and invigorate the body.

Outline:

Friday evening: Candlelight yoga meditation practice

Saturday Morning: Ayurvedic Tri-Dosha Yoga with Pranayama breathing practice, followed by breakfast

Saturday afternoon: Guided hillwalking including mindfulness practices and the cycles of nature with lunch on the trail.

Saturday evening: Conscious Film screening (e.g. The Living Matrix, I Am, The Life of Yogananda, Choice Point).

Mindfulness Meditation WEEKEND RESIDENTIAL

Price:

EUR295.00

Date: October 13, 2017

Mindfulness is the practice of moment to moment non judgemental awareness. It is a particular way of paying attention to what’s happening in our bodies, hearts and minds, and in the world around us with friendliness, interest and curiosity. Based on ancient Buddhist teachings, today the wisdom of mindfulness can be applied to enrich and enliven all aspects of our lives, and to all ages.  It is the art of paying attention and engaging with our lives in meaningful, compassionate and non-judgmental ways. Its practice and training develops our innate capacity to find peace and contentment in a busy, ever changing world. It teaches how to pay attention, be more present and respond rather than react to life. In learning to live more fully in the present moment we cultivate greater attention, concentration and clarity of mind. We also develop beautiful qualities of heart such as peace, contentment and appreciation.  The art of mindfulness supports us in developing both self awareness and compassion. We learn to respond rather than react to the challenges of our lives. Mindfulness is an embodied and empowering practice of reconnecting to our own innate resources and wisdom.

This weekend will draw from the teachings of western insight meditation, the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and the embodied mindful movement practice of Open floor.

Participants will be guided through formal practices of sitting, walking and movement meditation. With the support of silence, throughout the weekend you are invited to bring an attentive and friendly wakefulness to each moment of your experience, both on and off the cushion. No previous experience is required, just bring a curiosity snd willingness to taste and explore the practice. There will be opportunity throughout for questions, reflection and enquiry with Paula.

Discover techniques that will help you find greater focus, efficiency and precision in what you do. When your attention is steady, your mind is also. Learn effective relaxation and meditative practices that will support your ability to be more present, more awake. Some of the benefits of these simple practices help bring about deeper connection with others, increased enjoyment in the wonder and richness of life and a renewed openness to the spiritual dimension of life. Learn how mindfulness helps us become more aware that kindness, empathy and joy are available within our own being.

Family Constellation : Ancestral Healing WEEKEND RESIDENTIAL

Price:

EUR0.00

Date: October 20, 2017

*Fully Booked*

This deeply healing workshop explores and uncovers how the limitations we experience with our health, finances and success in life may be inherited from the lives of our ancestors. Unconscious entanglements can develop between family members and ancestors in an effort to heal and restore balance and a flow of love to the family soul. Based on the work of Bert Hellinger, the process happens in a group format where the facilitator works with an issue by setting up representatives for the family entanglements and working with the dynamics that show up. The workshop is designed to serve individuals desiring to seek resolutions of persistent life issues, as well as therapists seeking to discover new ways of working with clients. Everyone who participates (and their families) stands to benefit from the work.  All participants will have their family constellation done.

What is Family Constellation Work?

There is a presence of a family conscience which guards the integrity of the family soul. Hidden orders support the flow of systemic energy in service of belonging and bonding. In families, this energy is love. Then the orders of belonging are disrupted, so is the flow of love. When this happens, family members come under systemic pressure to restore balance. Unconscious entanglements then develop between family members and their ancestors in an effort to heal the family soul. These entanglements can then manifest as personal, financial or professional limitations as well as dis-ease. This format helps uncover the truth behind these loyalties and strives to find re-solutions to bring balance to the flow of love in the system. This allows for the flow of life to be restored to the living members of the family which is the foundation to achieving health, wealth, and success in all aspects of life.

What is the Format?

The work is done in a group format where the participants begin by sitting in circle and share intentions for the day.  There are three levels of participants in the work: client, representative and witness.   The client, chosen on the day, is the individual who has their family system set up to be worked.  Representatives are participants who stand in the field for members of the family or issues.  Witnesses remain seated in the circle.  The way Julie facilitates, all levels of participation benefit fully from the day.

In this group format, the issue is set up in the field using representatives as family members, states of being, or issues.  The facilitator works with the group using words, movements and representatives to first identify the present state of family dynamic as it relates to the issue.  From this place, by acknowledging what is, including those who were excluded and restoring the balance of the flow of love from the elders to those in the current generation, entanglements can be released and suffering is transformed to love.  The facilitator seeks re-solution to the issue moving the system into strength from where it was previously weak.  The constellation is then brought into order by positioning representatives in the appropriate positions in their family system.

How much family history is needed to participate?

There is no requirement for the amount of family history that needs to be known in order to participate.  In fact, the less one knows about their family history, the more likely there are to be entanglements present.  This work is wonderful at uncovering these mysteries.  Knowing the family history can give indications of what particular pattern may be at play within the family system, which can be worked with directly in the field.

What Does it Treat?

Most issues have an ancestral origin, independent of how it may manifest: physical, emotional, financial, energetic, spiritual etc.  This format is very effective with: Emotional Issues, Dis-ease, Physical Pain, Relationship Problems, Financial Distress, Career and Business Troubles and any persistent issues unresponsive to other treatments.
