| Dear Friends |
|
| “What happened to Chrysalis? Are they closed? Why the change? What’s going on? I cared about that place. It really offered support at a time I needed it. When am I going to find out?” |
|
| Lots of questions have been asked since 27 March 2011, when our lease ended and Chrysalis moved out of the Rectory in Donard. We had a wonderful Shamanistic ceremony to formally let go of the land and offer gratitude and respect for the safe sanctuary the Rectory has been for so many years. |
|
| Three Open House days rounded off our tenure, when stories were shared, hearts opened, Craft Shop goodies sold and scones munched. A final clean, sort, sage, drum and tie-cutting exercise completed the end of this era..so what now? |
|
| An Advisory Team of nine people is meeting up every 3-4 weeks to actively discern the charity’s next phase. While our usual phone and email contacts are both being serviced, we are officially taking a sabbatical from the regular programme to pause, revisit our vision, polish up possibilities and radically accept change with enthusiasm and creativity. |
|
| Not just empty words, for how does any organisation move forward without its physical framework, established programme and original founder? What spirit or essence still breathes in a name, a history and a group of people committed to the expansion of human consciousness? What is needed to serve the greater good in these interesting times? How best to find out? |
|
| Hence the idea for this update. In the absence of a physical meeting place, our intention is to provide a virtual space for the extended Chrysalis community to connect and exchange ideas. We look forward to hearing from you and trust this finds you all in good health and spirits. |

May I be free from sorrow
May I be free of physical suffering
May I care for myself with ease
May I love and be loved
Dear one, may you be happy and content |

| |
“Ow, a part of my very important history is vanishing! Funny how one thinks that certain things in life are forever. But I carry the changes that Chrysalis assisted with inside me for the rest of my life” |

“Thank you for the years of goodness you have given to so many”… Read more... |

Have you ever felt like the white rabbit in Alice & Wonderland – rushing hither and thither, with a sense of urgency about getting through the ‘to do list’. Sometimes, we start the day exhausted as there seems so much to do and so little time to do it…. Read more... |

As summer dawns. we prepare to expose our tender Irish skin to the sun’s rays. At home or abroad, but hopefully in sunny climes, it’s time to unveil ourselves to the elements once more, absorbing vitamin D and moving into outdoor life… Read more... |

Chrysalis was founded in 1989 as a centre for exploring spirituality, wellbeing and personal development.
After 21 years renting the Old Rectory in Donard, the charity moved out in March 2011 at the end of their tenancy
and is now taking a one year sabbatical to regroup, discern a wise future direction and rest!
We are planning our next programme of events for spring 2012. |
